How do I stage a driver?
There are three ways to stage a driver during the event.
1. Enter the CarID in the Stage field, then press return on the keyboard
2. Drag the driver from the Driver's List and drop them anywhere on the Timing Function Panel
3. Click Find to search for the driver, select them and click Stage.
Why are there two page setups?
Finish-Time uses two separate page setups for proper formatting of the autocross results, drivers list and log sheets. This enables easy printing of these items without having to format each item every time you print. The page setup information is saved so that you do not have to re-format the reports every time you print. The Page Setup menu item is found in the File Menu.
Can I use my license with both Windows and Macintosh versions of Finish-Time?
Your license key is valid with both the Windows and Macintosh version of Finish-Time. Therefore, you could use the Windows version at the event, then audit and publish the results on your Macintosh computer at home.
Can I define additional Standard Classes?
Finish-Time is installed with the standard SCCA Classes as defined in the 2009 Rule Book along with the 2009 PAX Indexes. You may at any time, define additional Standard Classes that your Club uses. You have a choice to include a PAX Index also. However, the PAX Index is not required.
Why are there no Ladies Classes defined?
By default, there are no Ladies classes defined. Although you may define individual Ladies Classes if ladies are competeting in the regular classes. (ESL, FSL, etc.) But most clubs offer the ladies to run in an Indexed Class, where the winner of that class is determined by their PAX Index. We recommend that you first define a PAX Index Class called "L" (any label can be used). Then, when you register drivers in a Ladies Class, choose "L" from the Class Drop Down menu found in the Registration Function Panel.
Does Finish-Time accept the NASA Classes?
By default Finish-Time is installed with the standard SCCA Classes. This does not limit you to using the SCCA classes, you may use any type of Class Structure that you want. However, all classes must begin with a letter. (SM2, or SM)
What computer platforms does Finish-Time support?
Finish-Time runs on Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/XP/Vista and Macintosh (PowerPC and Intel) OSX 10.2 or higher.
How do you publish the results webpage without the drivers first name.
For security concerns, you have the option to exclude the drivers full name in your results web page. Click File > Create Results Web Page. In the Create Results Web Page window, enter a file name for the web page and choose your Sort Options. Then, at the bottom of the window, choose Include only the driver's first name. Now, the results web page will only list the driver's first name.
What is a "TCP Error 103" when checking for updates on-line.
This will occur if you are not connected to the internet. You must first connect to the internet before checking for updates. Finish-Time does not automatically connect your computer to the internet.
